How often should I have my AC maintained?
Due to the extreme operating conditions of our Florida AC systems, it is recommended at a minimum of once per year, ideally twice a year can help extend the life of your system and get operating costs to stay lower.
What warning signs should I look out for that my AC unit is underperforming?
If your noticing power bills higher than normal, unit running longer than expected, certain rooms not cooling or heating like “before”, any lights dim briefly when units start up, if you notice and odd smells or noises coming from your equipment or ducts, or if you notice higher than normal humidity levels in the house or a drain line that’s not free flowing.

What can I do as a homeowner to help my unit’s longevity and performance?
Homeowners, can change air filters on a regular basis helping keep evaporator coils and blowers cleaner, improving performance and air quality.
Homeowners can vacuum drain line out from the outside of the home, to help prevent drain backups and water leaks into the air handler or furnace stand. Or if you have a cutoff switch preventing system from shutting down due to water backups. Also pouring hot water or vinegar into the drain can help in keeping water flowing and reducing blockage

Homeowners can assure no water from rain is running off the roof and directly on top of unit causing premature failures. As well as keeping vegetation away from the outdoor unit to assure good airflow through the coils helping performance
